Rachel M. Gardiner-Cummings known as Barbie, was born in Cape Palmas, Liberia, she later made her way to the United States of America and settled in near Los Angeles, California. There she reunited with her childhood neighbor and friend Edward Cummings, they later married and gave birth to their first child Erica Beanna Cummings and that following year Ebony Barbie Cummings. After a few years they moved to Lawrenceville, Georgia to raise their daughters.
Barbie was a gentle, kind, family-oriented, hardworking woman. She loved to love; she gave love to everyone she touched. Her family meant the world to her, and if you asked her what her biggest accomplishment was, she would say raising her daughters.
she was a soul so pure, so radiant, and so rare. She lost her battle with breast cancer on her birthday in May 2018 and what a gift she was to the world. Her legacy will continue through her daughters Erica and Ebony and her many nieces and nephews whom she adored as her own children.
